Toddler Support

19-23 months

Hi, I’m Susan!

As a trusted Washington DC sleep consultant, I provide customized, high-touch sleep coaching for parents of toddlers 19 months - 6 years old helping you go from exhausted and overwhelmed to confident and sleeping through the night (10+ hours) by teaching your child to sleep independently without using Cry It Out.

Woah, you have a toddler - when did that happen? Time FLIES, hopefully you are having fun ;-)

At this stage, language is emerging, independence is blossoming, and bedtime can quickly turn into negotiation. Sleep struggles here are often misunderstood as “behavior,” when in reality they’re rooted in development, communication, and the need for clear, loving boundaries. Sleep becomes deeply emotional for both toddlers and parents.

Your toddler suddenly refuses bedtime.

They call out, climb out, stall, protest.

What once worked no longer does and evenings feel chaotic.

If this feels familiar, you are not alone. And you are not doing anything wrong.

This stage is full of independence and sleep boundaries matter more than ever. This work is about restoring calm evenings, predictable nights, and confidence in your role as the steady guide. Learning how to support your toddler as they grow and develop both with sleep and with social emotional regulation.

IMAGINE THIS INSTEAD:
  • A smooth, predictable bedtime

  • Staying in bed all night

  • A solid midday nap

  • Clear expectations your toddler understands

  • Evenings that feel calm again

Toddlers crave consistency even when they test it.

WHAT I DO

I’m an experienced sleep coach having worked with dozens of families from all over the world. This stage it requires clarity and consistency. I partner with families to establish strong routines, age-appropriate schedules, and calm but confident sleep boundaries. This isn’t about power struggles. It’s about helping your toddler feel secure within predictable structure. With supportive coaching and a clear plan, sleep can feel steady again.

You’ll receive clear guidance, steady coaching, and ongoing support as your child transitions into longer stretches and more predictable sleep.

As a mom myself, I know how important it is to be well rested. I am here to make sure we get you and your whole family sleeping through the night so that you can be the best mom and parent for your family.

This is for you if…

  • You find yourself dreading bedtime because you know it means endless meltdowns and constant screams for “‘mom.”

  • You’re craving uninterrupted conversation with your partner after bedtime (and maybe even cuddle while binging a new TV show).

  • You want to stop second-guessing every nap and bedtime struggle and finally know exactly what to do when your child fights sleep.

  • All your energy is being taken up with your toddler’s sleep (rather, lack there of) and your other children are not getting the attention they need and deserve - managing it all seems impossible.

  • You never go out for date nights or even have grandma help with bedtime because only YOU are able to lay with your child until they fall asleep - asking your mother in law or a sitter to do this is not even an option.

  • You feel lost on how to help your child when they have tantrums and wish you knew how to support them while also knowing how to reduce them.

This is not for you if…

  • You want a “quick fix” without putting in the effort to stay consistent.

  • You’re not ready to adjust routines, boundaries, or your approach to bedtime.

  • You’d rather “wait it out” and hope things magically improve on their own.

  • You are co-sleeping and you want to continue to cosleep

In three weeks, you and your family will be sleeping through the night (10+ hours!), you will have the energy you need to be the parent you want to be and to do the things you enjoy.

I know you are ready to stop guessing, stop Googling, and stop running on fumes. Together, we’ll create a clear plan and the consistent support you need to make sleep a reality for your family.

So, what’s next? Let’s get you started!

Step 1: Schedule an evaluation call

We’ll start with a 15-minute call so I can learn more about you, your child, and your goals. This also gives us a chance to see if my support is the right fit for your family. Once you book, we’ll set a start date to begin.

Step 2: Complete Your Questionnaire

You’ll fill out a short questionnaire that helps me understand your child’s current sleep and behavior patterns. This gives me a clear picture of what’s going on so I know how to support your family.  I use this information to create your child’s sleep plan.

Step 3: Plan walk through

We’ll review your child’s support plan either during a live session or via a personalized recording. During the walk through, I’ll explain everything you need to know about our plan of action. And, of course, we can make tweaks and edits to the plan as necessary to ensure it is the right fit for your baby and family.

Step 4: Get Support

We will pick a start date and be on our way to getting everyone sleep! During our work together, I’ll check in on you daily and we will discuss and make changes as necessary ensuring we make progress towards our goals based on how your child is responding. With my coaching support, you will be confident not only in helping your child sleep well, but being able to respond to their social emotional needs 24/7.

Step 5: Celebrate!

We will work together for three weeks and at the end of our time together, you’ll feel more rested, more reassured, and equipped with tools to help your child sleep well. We will wrap up our time with an ask me anything call to go over any lingering questions and talk through what the future transitions, and the reassurance that I am here for you when you need me!

How long will we work together?

With the Standard Program, we will work together for 3 weeks.

With my Premium Program, we will work together for up to 5 weeks.

Do you just work on sleep issues?

No! With this age group, I incorporate parent coaching and we look at

your child's complete day. I give you strategies on how to improve daytime

challenges as well so we can use those same positive parent techniques

in our sleep work.

Does my partner or spouse need to be involved in this?

Ideally, yes. This is so that your baby understands you are a team and that

you have the same expectations and do things the same way.

It can of course be done solo if necessary. â€‹

How often can we message you?

You can email me as many times as needed! I will respond as soon as I can between 9-6.

You will also have unlimited texting in the hours listed in our contract.

Will my child be sleeping through the night?

Yes! Your child will no longer need assistance to get back to sleep for bedtime or overnight and sleep on their own for 10+ hours.

Do you use the cry-it-out method?

No, I do not use Cry It Out. However, crying is involved. The methods I choose for each baby and family are based on the individual needs and goals of the family.

What happens if my child hasn’t met our sleep goals at the end of the three weeks?

During our time together, I will be giving you specific recommendations for your child based on how they are responding to the work so we can make fast and smooth progress and meet our goals as efficiently as possible. However, every child is different and some may take longer to adjust to the new demands. If we are not where we want to be at the end of our three weeks together, we can extend our work for another week for an additional fee.

Do you offer sibling discounts?

Yes! If you have multiple children needing support at the same time, enjoy a 50% discount on the lower cost plan.

What about twins and multiples?

There is only an additional $50 fee per multiple.
